CHIC 2016 IWE D2: Ideation

By Marc Laperrouza October 18, 2015 Edition CHIC 2015-2016

After a long day of learning, students are there Sunday morning ahead of time (!) to start with the ideation part. The session kicks off with Alex and a stellar performance of “Le Fric, c’est chic”. On the menu for this Sunday, a first warm-up exercice with circles – one student makes full use of his creativity with a smart reference to Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl. Follows a new game (thanks Noémie for stopping by Friday to bring the idea and Saturday to move it forward)*. Next, a brainstorming session around connected devices. A quick break and students start the Mixmash. Presentation of ideas to their peers takes everybody to the lunch break.

Most students rush for a burrito (nicknamed by some ‘bourre-ito’) and it already time for everybody to present one idea to the whole crew in one minute or less.

The voting process allows 10-12 projects so it is time for the organising team to sift through the most popular ideas and ensure their feasibility and novelty. After more than 30 minutes of deliberation everybody is brought back in and it’s time to announce the six projects short-listed.

Kudos to everybody and in particular to all those whose idea has not made it to the final selection.
