Dear CHIC community,
On wednesday only a day after the assembly of the main PCB of our device, we received the second PCB for the backlight. On the same day components are soldered on that PCB for observing the functionality and how the light really diffuses through the device. In the meantime casing of the object is adjusted for the compatilibity with the user inputs like USB charger. Having done a significant progress in the project, there was an important step at the same day: pitching the project at x.factory in front of the maker community. Sandra and I pitched the project and received constructive feedbacks on some of the potential aspects to improve on. The relief of completing the pitch did not prevent us from trying the second PCB. With this test we saw light coming through back side of the device for the first time!!
Moreover all participants visited Tencent where we learned more about the company and gained more insights of use of their products by chinese people. After that visit we went back to x.factory to prepare the prototype for the demo session for the last day of our stay in Shenzhen.
