Great turnout for CHIC’s 2016-2017 first DemoDay at ECAL!
The floor was given to the designers who, each in their own style, related their CHIC experience. Todoo told the audience about their design journey and the human adventure (a subtle reminder of the work hard-play hard approach to the program). Ilanga took a slightly more “décalé” approach (with water as common thread). It was also the occasion to discover the Trobak prototype, probably among the most challenging device ever developed in CHIC. Last but not least, we heard of Livelo‘s water level measurement device (the presentations will follow shortly).
The session ended with a presentation of CHIC 2017-2018 to ECAL DI and MID students and the usual (and well-deserved) thanks to the program’s sponsors including the Canton de Vaud, swissnex China, EPFL, HEC Lausanne and all other (human) contributors to CHIC at EPFL and EPFL-ECAL Lab, ECAL and UNIL.
P.S.: In case you missed the DemoDay@ECAL, you will have a chance to see the teams a last time on December 11 at MassChallenge Renens (6PM onwards).
