We took some decisions regarding the shape ! Congratulations: it’s a watch ! 👶🏻⏰ Here are a few drafts of what it could look like:
Our goal is to make our smartwatch as adaptable as possible, in order to fit many different kids.👶🏻👶🏽👦🏽👶🏼👦🏻👶🏾 For instance, we want the strap to be changeable so that it can suit anyones taste, or even have different textures for hyposensitive or hypersensitive children.
The strap could also be completely removed and the screen put on a stand, to keep on a desk for example:
The object features only one button, to keep the child from being disturbed or confused by it.
We are looking forward to have some feedback !
During the past week, we continued our interviews with parents. Thanks to the speech therapist Line Sorgius, we were able to carry out 2 enriching interviews.
We met a mom of two children with ASD. One element struck us during the discussion: her organization. She managed the days of her two children in a remarkable way. To achieve this, she has to be very rigorous in her planning and organize the tasks in a structured way. For instance, preparing children (tooth brushing and dressing 👕) and doing homework are divided into several sequences to help and guide the children to focus on one activity in question at a time. Therefore, she often uses the Time-Timer ⏲ and the pictograms system which, on the other hand, take time to be prepared.
We were satisfied because as our interviews progress, several of our hypothesis have been validated. Thus, the Time-Timer is definitely an element that we must include. In addition, there is a real need for parents to organize and structure their child’s days more quickly and simply.

This week we have additional interviews with 3 parents and a presentation at the CHUV on Tuesday. We wish to have as much feedback as possible !
We will have to be efficient to analyze quickly these feedbacks for our first milestone (this Friday📆 ) but with this team, there are no worries to have ! 👌
