Dear CHIC Community,
This week we had a kind of animated week with two special events:
On Monday, we had the chance to take part in a pitching workshop led by Benedict Stalder. He shared with us some advices and experiences to give a successful speech and then we had to apply it during a short exercise session. The workshop was really interesting and fun and I hope our team will keep a bit of that wisdom for the upcoming speeches and pitches.
On Tuesday, we invited our mentors (who participated in the previous CHIC edition) to our meeting at Sandra’s place and we were very happy that they joined us. I think we all wanted to ask them a lot of questions about their project, but it was not the topic of this meeting so we had to focus on advancing our own. They intervened a few times to give us their opinion and their tips. It was very useful to have an experienced feedback from our predecessors, who went through the same process.
We each presented new ideas and the landscape of existing solutions in our field. We did not come up with a conclusion yet so we decided to make another iteration of the process for the next meeting and we have prepared the field investigation. We keep in mind that we have only two weeks left for the first milestone presentation.
At the end of the meeting we finally had dinner together, for some of us the wait was almost unbearable as I saw some of the Chircle members taking some food on the dish before time, and for sure not myself. 🙂
We continue to take a step closer towards the project, however we are now also one step closer from the MS1…!
