Great turnout for the second and last CHIC 2016-2017 DemoDay, hosted for the second time by MassChallenge Switzerland at the Ateliers de Renens.
The 4 teams (Ilanga, Trobak, Livelo and Todoo) had a couple of minutes to pitch their project and answer questions about customers, pricing or pivoting.
It was followed by a short discussion with Thomas Estier (CEO of Rovenso) on Shenzhen as a hub for hardware. He shared with the audience some of the advantages his team derived from being accelerated by HAX (faster, more affordable, plenty of Chinese money available).
The “formal” part concluded with a high-level panel on interdisciplinarity with Lucie Houel (microengineer from Todoo), Denis Gillet (long-time CHIC supervisor from EPFL), Alexis Georgacopoulos (Director of ECAL), Thomas David (Dean of the College of Humanities at EPFL) and Dan Witting (CEO of Baabuk).
The evening ended around local beer, finger food and a chance to see the different prototypes in action.
