Houston we have a problem…exploration

By Marc Laperrouza December 2, 2017 Edition CHIC 2017-2018

Great first milestone in Lausanne on December 1.

The teams’ job was to present their problem exploration both in the form of a report and of a live presentation, followed by a Q&A session with supervisors from ECAL and EPFL.

We heard first from NAPaC on how they were planning to bring light to people who need it by connecting communities on different sides of the world, raising both money and awareness as to the plight of people “living in the dark”. Their slogan: “Turn on your love to donate”.

They were followed by Fluid who is investigating water consumption in households and finding ways both to educate users and reduce waste.

The milestone concluded with Chircle who set out to address productivity at work and concentrate on reducing disturbances.

All in all teams appear to have well integrated the value proposition and pitching (thanks again to Benedict) workshops.

They have now a couple of months to delve into the solution exploration phase. Stay tuned for the second milestone in mid-February and follow the progress of all this year’s edition on the blog.
