Dear CHIC community,

Yesterday we transferred to Hong-Kong. It was a very long and tiring journey, because first one need to pass the Chinese customs, pass many security checks and then Hong-Kong customs.

We will now spend 5 days in Hong Kong so the free Sunday that allows us to rest a little after this hard week of work in Shenzhen at X.Factory.

We sleep at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) The campus of the university is at the edge of the ocean, however the rooms are less comfortable than in Shenzhen.

On Friday, the day before leaving for Hong Kong we had to opportunity to visit the Huawei Campus in Shenzhen. We were welcomed by  David Harmon. He is Vice-President for Global Public Affairs at Huawei Technologies. We then had the privilege to visit the assembly line of the latest smartphone Huawei P20. At the end of the day, we also visited a company that manufactures PCBs. It was not located in Shenzhen, however in a more rural area, outside the city.

Finally, we presented at the MS7 the respective progress of our projects and made a demo our functioning prototype.
