There are times in life when you can ask “why bother?”.
The third and last prototyping milestone offered a great answer. All teams really made an impression in terms of their progress since the previous milestone both in terms of engineering and communication. There are of course plenty of things that still under development/need to be fixed but that’s for Shenzhen and Hong Kong in July. At this stage, we have three TEAMS (yes, it matters to feel united behind a vision) and three great projects:
- Seeki, a device designed to help “losing” kids on school trips
- Flowlin, a device to help workers getting distracted
- Toygether, a plushtoy to foster interaction between kids and parents
As usual, a great thanks to the supervisors for their involvement and input, our institutional sponsors. Also very much pleased to see in the audience some CHIC alumni and some potential participants for the next edition.
Last but not least, thanks to funding from the Canton de Vaud’s DGES, we are also welcoming Korlei and Alan – two film makers from ECAL. They are joining us for the trip to Greater China and will be work on producing a short clip.
Next step is take-off on July 9 and the rest is history…
