When, in 2008, Brian Chesky could not pay his rent, he came up with a solution: why not rent the spare rooms to travelers for cheaper than hotel? He then bought some air mattresses and setup a website. AirBnb was born. He did not know it at the time, but he was taking part in the rise of the sharing economy. Nowadays, it is defined as a way for people to earn money by allowing others to make use o […]

The « Chinese » part of the China Hardware Innovation Camp is soon reaching to an end, leaving us with wonderful memories. It is probably for most of us one of the richest experiences we have had the chance to live as students. As you could read on this blog the last two weeks, we had very packed and challenging schedule, but it was exciting and we managed to have a lot of fun all the same. It […]

Already one week in Shenzhen! Time goes by so quickly, and there is so much to do on all projects! Yesterday was the last where we were assigned to work on the prototype.
However, we had one little extra activity on the planning: Elle, from Seeed, managed to organize a visit at a PCB factory! The factory was outside of the city, or at least it would have been, if we were in Switzerland. Here, t […]

Dimitri, Luca, Nicolas, Pierre and I had the opportunity to have a tour of the HKDI (Hong Kong Design Institute) !

So, a big shout out to Nicolas from the Livelo team who accepted to go with our Luca to be our official Todoo translator🙂. Nicolas did a really good job and we certainly couldn’t do it without him.

Hello dear reader,
After two more general posts we’re back at what we do best : work (héhé).
As you know we are now in Shenzhen in order to develop our first prototype. As you probably don’t know, our designer Dylan couldn’t make it to Hong-Kong or China and as if this was not a sad news enough, the mock-up he created with love and patience couldn’t make the trip either. -
